Little birds grow

Do you remember those little seagulls who were born on the roof across from mine some time ago? Well, they are still there. Unfortunately one of them, the littlest of the brood, didn't survive. I really hope that his God will give him another chance to live.
Instead, the other two are growing quickly, while their parents take care of them, providing them with foot and recovery, when the weather is bad.
Feathers started to come in last week but they are still quite invisible. Nevertheless they sometimes emulate their parents, spread their little wings and jump up on the roof shingles. Sometimes they slide down and start shouting until they get up again.

I'm really lucky as I can look at this nature's show every day. And I feel happy as I can share with you this experience. Needless to say who are today's winners.

I piccoli gabbiani crescono

Ricordate quei piccoli gabbiani che sono nati sul tetto di fronte a casa mia qualche tempo fa? Ebbene, sono ancora lì. Sfortunatamente uno di loro, il più piccolo della nidiata, non è sopravvissuto. Spero sinceramente che il suo Dio gli dia un'altra possibilità di vita.
Invece, gli altri due crescono velocemente, mentre i loro genitori si prendono cura di loro, procurando loro il cibo e un riparo, quando fa brutto tempo.
Le penne hanno iniziato a spuntare la settimana scorsa, ma sono ancora quasi invisibili. Ciononostante a volte i due emulano i loro genitori, aprono le loro alette e saltano sulle tegole del tetto. A volte scivolano e iniziano a strillare, finché non si rimettono in piedi.
Mi ritengo molto fortunata dato che posso assistere a questo spettacolo della natura ogni giorno e sono felice di condividere con voi questa esperienza. Inutile dire chi sono i vincitori di oggi.

Three little birds

Each year in Spring a couple of seagulls build their nest on the roof across from mine.
Last week the eggs hatched and three baby birds were born.
I started looking at them from the very beginning, with the intention of monitoring their growth 'till they leave the nest, probably at the end of summer.

They are so little, they are so cute, so tender when sleeping on top of each other, they are so funny  when trying to walk up and down the roof or when they scream or yawn. So, today's winners are these newborn seagull babies.

Tre piccoli gabbiani

Ogni anno in primavera una coppia di gabbiani fa il nido sul tetto della casa di fronte.
La settimana scorsa le uova si sono schiuse e tre piccoli uccellini sono nati.
Ho iniziato a guardarli fin dall'inizio, con l'intenzione di osservare la loro crescita finché non lasciano il nido, presumibilmente a fine estate.
Sono così piccoli, così carini, così teneri quando dormono uno sopra l'altro, sono così ridicoli quando cercano di camminare su e giù per il tetto o quando gridano o piangono. Per questo motivo i vincitori di oggi sono questi gabbiani neonati.
